January 2012 free calendar picture

I decided about a week ago to design my own calendar this year! This is January's picture! I'll be uploading the days section right after this! *Update: (here's the days part: [link]) My inspiration for this was that a friend asked me to draw her a boat, and I love the song 'Come Sail Away' by Styx, and had some doodles similar to this, so I decided to combine the two and develop the idea! I wanted the January picture to be a happy, optimistic one, to help everyone cheer up after the post-Christmas slump! I'm loving hand drawn type at the moment, and I drew everything on this by hand, except the rope, which I did on Illustrator and fitted to my hand drawn type! The photo is a picture I took in Sunny Dawlish Warren, England!

I hope you like it! Its a4 so you can print it off and use it as a calendar for free! I'm going to submit the idea to Threadless, so if you really like it, you will soon be able to vote on it... and possibly wear it in the future!
